Lego Does It Again

Photobucket

Okay, like i said in an early blog I have a lot of this going on right in my life and I’ve been putting off writing reviews, now thats not to say that I haven’t been playing any games fuck that besides sex and drinking, gaming is the next best stress reliever. There is nothing like jumping online and kicking peoples asses in Call of Duty, Rainbow Six Vegas, Halo and to a lesser extend sports games (i hate sports games). So know i’ll let you know about the game that has recently been my stress reliever.

Indiana Jones is by far my favorite movie franchise besides the Batman series (yes I like even the crap-tastic batman forever and Batman and Robin, also included is the Adam West T.V. series and his movie and the Batman serial from way back in the day), so when i heard Lego was making a game like Lego Star Wars and I freaked because the Star Wars game was great, It was fun to play, it was funny, it never took itself serious like George Lucas tried to make Jar Jar Binks. The game from the start was fun and true to the story, and was kept extremely jovial. The best part to me, which on in alot of other review I’ve seen people complain about, the puzzle solving aspect of the stories. Keep in mind Indy is a archeologist, which means he uses what….thats right his mind. Why? because he doesn’t have jedi powers to break through walls, which in my opinion (an thats the only one that matters) it made the game better and gave it more playability. The cut scenes were hilarious and campy and that fits with the Indiana Jones genre. The hidden areas to explore, The Warehouse, Ancient City, Lego City, the hidden characters to find and 18 fun levels gives the game longevity, especially with the achievements to unlock you cannot get them all in one shot and when you go back to play it again to get more of the achievements you don’t mind it as much. I personally have 6 achievements left and I am looking forward to playing it the next chance I get, because once again it is a fun game (unlike carrying boilers down basement stairs.)One thing i would like them to add and that’s online multiplayer games, these games give you the opportunity to customize your own characters and it seems like a waste to only get to use them in story modes and hidden levels. Some competitive game and the like would be pretty awesome, because in this day with the way the gaming community is everything is about furthering the online community. Let’s see if the the Lego Batman game has some cool features. Go get Lego Indiana Jones and everyone go see The Dark Knight in IMAX July 18th, my fiance and I will be there at 4am Friday July 18th (and then a couple of hours later we’re getting married HA.)See everyone tonight Saturday 07/05/08 @ 10pm… where at you may be asking… well the place to be tonight is Rhythm and Brews (1674 Richmond Rd Staten Island, NY 10304)on Staten Island. With DJ Emilio Sparks, No Standards, Avon Junkies, and introducing the New Moon Jellies.
